I think that this initiative can be very successful, because Patagonia states that they will do all of the above once the consumer abide by special rules. For example, they state to reduce the purchases of certain products or items if unnecessary. They will also reuse a previously purchased item from one consumer and distribute it to the next. They will recycle products, instead of dumping it and with this process it should have a reimaging of the world so that everything is used and consumed to its maximum lifespan. There are two standpoints in which to view this question. It is obviously successful on the likes of the environmental friendly method. However, they costs may become a huge liability for Patagonia in my view. For instance, the reusing and recycling methods all create costs that Patagonia have to absorb in order to benefit the initiative
