“The Colour and Sound of Praise and Worship”
The Colour of Praise and Worship
Maybe you have never thought of this concept before, but when we are praising and worshipping God we are giving homage to a God who loves colour.
Firstly, it is important to say that there are laws governing the world of colour. Colour plays a huge part in our everyday life. If you stop reading right now and just look around, you will see that there is colour everywhere! Is this something that you have taken for granted?
Did you know that colour is primarily activated by light? A white light is composed of various colours, which is also called the spectrum. I would not profess to be a scientist but from research it is said that light travels at the same speed but each colour has a different wavelength and frequency. Before I go on to

When light hits an object that we look at, let’s say, a banana, the object absorbs some of the light and reflects the rest of it. The wavelengths that are absorbed or reflected depend on the properties of the object. For example, a ripe banana reflects wavelengths of approximately 570-580nm. The brain recognises these as the wavelengths in the range of yellow light, and subsequently we see it as a ripe yellow banana.
To explain a little further, amazingly the human eye has approximately 6 to 7 million cones. However, not all of these cones are alike. About 64% of them respond most strongly to red light, while 32% are responsive by green light. Another 2% respond strongest to blue light. When light from the banana hits the cones, it stimulates them to varying degrees. The resulting signal is transmitted along the optic nerve to the visual cortex of the brain, which processes the information and returns with a colour: yellow. The whole process takes a fraction of a second. Wow! We are truly wonderfully made (Psa

SCENARIO B Fact Check There are a few errors that are present within the scientific information of scenario B. First, it falsely informs the readers by stating that one of the three colors that the human eye is sensitive to is the color yellow. However, according to Lilienfeld et al. (2014), the Trichromatic theory actually suggest that the human eye contains specific photoreceptor cells, specifically cones, that are responsible for colored vision and are sensitive to the colors red, green, and blue.…

The purpose of this experiment was to determine the correlation of light intensity and wavelength on white light, no light, red light and green light color treatments when looking at spinach. The same spinach plant was tested under different light environments (no light, white light, red light and green light). A control cuvette was used to compare the rate of photosynthesis to those of the color transmittance cuvette. Before collecting the data we learned about plants and light absorption. We learned the reason why plants are green is because it emits green color and the other transmitted colors are absorbed by the plant.…

A layer, under the yellow pigment layer, of cells contains small particles. When light hits these cells, the light’s bluer part spreads in several directions, but the redder part is barely scattered, and continues its original path. This mechanism is the same when producing a clear blue sky and the redness of sunrises and sunsets. Melanin, granules of a dark pigment, is contained in the cell layer under the light-scattering cell layer. Unlike most cells melanin granules can be moved around in a cell.…

How do dogs eyes work? Dogs’ only have two sensitive cone cells in their retina which are yellow and blue, whereas humans have three which are red, green, and blue. They can’t distinguish yellow, green, or red based on their color but by their brightness. Some colors like red, yellow, and green are only seen as one hue to dogs. This research helps to understand this project by knowing how bright your dog’s toys need to be or else they can’t tell the difference between other toys.…
