There is a lot of symbolism behind the color red. In the village the color red is what attracts those we do not speak of. The color red is a symbol of fear. As every time someone sees the color they get fearful. They do not wanna get attacked. They have been trained to fear the color red. And to find safety in the color yellow. As they have been trained to think yellow is a safe color. So they have found safety in that color.

Ivy's ‘disability’ is blindness. Yes this does hold her back when it comes to seeing some things. However it does help her with many things as well. She seems to be more innocent as she is blind. She is also at an advantage as she won't judge someone no matter how bad they look. Ivy does not have a disability infact she
