In the movie the Color Purple, Alice Walker portrays many dynamic characters. Dynamic characters are characters that progressively change throughout the story for the good or better of something. The Color purple is a wonderful illustration of dynamic characters progeefully changing through the story. Three dynamic characters in this story are Sophia, Nettie, and Celie Sophia goes through changes as the story progresses. Her and Harpo Get married and start having kids and everything seems to be going well. But Sophia is a very strong independent lady who likes to be in charge. ANd starts bossing Harpo around, telling to do this and to do that. Harpo's father Albert, recognizes it right of the bat and doesn't like it. SO hells tells Harpo

And for many years Celie was scared of albert. Having to do all the dirty work around the house and even shave him multiple times. Celie keeps waiting for a letter from her sister but it never comes. She gets discouraged and basically just goes on with what is a terrible life still with some bit of hope that a letter will comw with her name on it. So one day when albert isn’t paying attention Celie and shug go looking through Albert's room and come across a secret cubby hole where Albert had been hiding all of the letters addressed to celie. After reading them she finds out that her kids and sister are in africa being missionaries and learning all sorts of stuff, and also teaching the african children. SO Celie finally gets the courage to stand up against Albert and tells him that she leaving. And LAter she finds out her step father passed away and she inherits the old house that she grew up in. ANd finally meets her children and is reunited with her sister. This book The Color Purple is filled with dynamic characters who are constantly changing in this story. PEople find hope through the tiniest sentimental item that they can find. And overcome adversity in all sorts of ways and always seem to fight when the tough gets tough, And these characters always seem to get tougher and get right back up and fight.
