and different ways they treated their sick. Church was really important to the colonist.
Everyone went to church no questions asked. Interestingly the colonial
Church was segregated as all the boys and men sat on one side and the girls and
women would sit on the other side, even the slaves and Native Americans had their own
designated spot where they were allowed to sit. Sermons took time lasting from two to
five hours. Colonists were required to sit through two sermons, one in the morning and
one in the afternoon. Churches weren't exactly inviting places
