The Pros And Cons Of College

There are many stereotypes surrounding college and the college atmosphere that incoming freshman experience. For example, many people are told that college is about freedom and partying all of the time. Or others are told that once you arrive at college, it is a lot tougher than you thought it would be; you will have to study more than you have ever studied in your life. The truth is, college is both of those things but you have to decide for yourself how you are going to live your college experience. Are you going to be the party animal that slacks off in their classes? Are you going to be the ideal student that does nothing but focus on their classes? Or maybe you will be a bit of both. I decided to be the student that for six out of seven days of the week did nothing but study, and that is why I believe I received an A in Psychology 101.
Going into Psychology 101 I was extremely nervous. I knew I needed to receive at least a B in order to keep my Lumberjack scholarship. Also, I wanted to start off my first year off college right. Slacking off and doing assignments last minute would not be the way to be successful. After my first class of Psychology 101, I went straight to my dorm and wrote down the due dates of all of the assignments that were going to be required

That being said, I did find it easier to relate to and study the material being taught in this course because I was being exposed to it in more ways than one. It was extremely helpful to be exposed to the knowledge being taught in a variety of ways. For example, in my Intro to Crime and Justice 101 class, we discuss norms and social norms. We also discuss norms and social norms in Psychology 101; it was easier to understand examples of different types of norms by relating them to more than one
