One of these other worlds known as Yami, feeds off the pain and death of the other worlds. Yami was fairly dormant and harmless, until the evolution of

Colored lens reflecting colored light in each volume, exude the concept of “different lights.” On each of the large windows of “bottle of light” the baffles are pained with a bright color, reflecting colored light into the chapel. This colored light begins to “pulse” when clouds pass overhead. Each “bottle of light” creates plays of shadow and reflects complimentary colors, so that if you stare at a blue rectangular light reflection it becomes yellow when looking at the white backdrop.…

Despite his sudden awe at her presence, Sophie's reluctant demeanor wasn't lost on Kevin. It was discouraging, but he gave a deep breath (one he realized, too late, was probably audible) and waited as she came closer, trying not to stare too blatantly at her shapely legs as they made her skirt swish like a curtain hiding restless performers backstage. He unbuttoned the top button of his plaid flannel shirt and another breath escaped. As she explained her timid goal for the sessions, it did nothing for Kevin's discouragement, and there was even a bit of resentment in there, too. She was clearly just trying to coast by, and had no intention of paying him the attention he was giving her.…

Binghamton’s Carnegie Library nestles snugly in the shadows of city hall and the Security Mutual building on Exchange Street. Although no longer in use, the ‘old library’ (as the residents refer to it) stands as a reminder of Andrew Carnegie’s philanthropy, as well as the city’s former glory. The building’s architecture is entirely Classical, utilising Greek and Roman traditions to create an inviting exterior for the city’s library. The library’s Grecian influence is obvious at first glance, as four massive Ionic columns tower above the short flight of steps before the library’s door.…

Was there ever a time you didn’t like to do something, but as you got older you started to love it more than you did as a child? When I was younger, I never liked to read, but now as I have gotten older, I read more and more different kinds of books and novels. My mother put my sister and me into a reading program in elementary school because our reading levels were lower than they should be. There were no criteria so we read books that were interesting to us, like the Given Tree by Shel Silverstein and Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White. When we finished reading them we would go around and talk about the book we read.…
