With all comes great remakes. When folk tales begin to have their story retold in modern society, it begins by having a vast audience, because the movie industries like to make money and they tend to open up stories to give them a never ending story. When one starts to read the Grimm’s version of Cinderella it includes religion, culture and shows that a lesson has to be taught. Now when it comes to, A Cinderella Story it is based off of the stars that played in the movie, music in the background and the strong male/female roles, another touch to make it more modern would be humor that tends to be added to help ease the audience.

When it comes the movie many people get a clear shot of who is supposed to be who and many do not get to pick the prince charming. The folktale is one where the audience gets to choose who they want the character to look like, make it a story of their own. To add more, back in time females were to clean and cook, which in the folk tale was major. It meant that since Cinderella was a maid of the house, that she was to do everything she was told.
