When I think of the name, I think of someone having off a ledge that is thousands of feet above ground. I think of the view, the feeling, and the danger involved, while a person makes this hike. When I watched the movie, it was exactly what I was expecting to see, Climbers making their way up a mountain that is sure to kill them if they fall. There was no foul language in the film at all; a matter of fact there was no talking from the characters at all. The narrator talked in a way that is friendly to all people of all ages.
Values and Beliefs: Answer these questions:
1. What values and beliefs are presented in this documentary or short film?
The values and beliefs within the film were the opinions of the narrator. The narrator talked in such a way that I found that the women didn’t seem to be equal to men. When scenes of the women were shown they seemed to be made fun and when the men were shown the narrator would talk highly of them. For instance, when close ups of the women were taken the music would sound funny and Lorne would crack a joke. The sounds and comments were much different for the men. For example, when a man almost falls to his death Lorne makes him sound like a tough and fearless person.
2. Do you think the filmmakers are successful in trying to get across their message to the audience? Why or why
