The City The City of Lights

Many people dream of traveling all over the United States or even to other countries, I know I do. About two years ago, this dream of mine, became a reality when I was given the opportunity to go to England and France. Never thinking this would happen until I was much older and had my own life beginning, I jumped on the opportunity right away. Learning about different cultures, and then experiencing them first hand was something that I did not expect to endure at a young age. Seeing new things, constantly hearing different languages, and tasting new food was just the beginning of the lifelong adventure I want to continue. To begin with, the instant we rode on the ferry across the English Channel, it felt so surreal that I was actually in a different country, across the Atlantic Ocean, and away from the place I grew up in. Yet, I felt at peace. The last four days of the trip, was spent in Paris. Between London, Normandy, St. Malo, and Paris, Paris was my absolute favorite. I saw numerous world renowned buildings, cathedrals, and works of art. Obviously, when most people visit Paris, the most common attraction to be visited would be the Eiffel Tower. We had the opportunity to buy tickets and experience the beautiful tower first hand. However, before we were up close and able to do so, we went on a ferry ride with the other group.
