The Circle-Personal Narrative

If only I hadn’t gone around the circle so fast I wouldn’t have gotten stuck in the leaves near grandma’s tennis court, I thought to myself. If only her property were a little bigger, I thought as I dragged the go-kart back onto the circle. “Come on, run!”, I blurted angrily. I yanked the cord one last time as a cold drop of autumn sweat flowed down my frozen cheek. Vroom! The kart shot off kicking up dirt as if it was throwing pieces of chocolate cake in the air. Left, right, left, the kart veered. I figured it would hit cottage five for sure. I would be in so much trouble if it hit anything, or worse, someone! A sudden shock of energy rocketed through my body. One foot in front of the other, I ran, desperately hoping to catch up to the go-kart. …show more content…
Three seconds have passed since it took off, but for how much longer would this go on, I thought? Then, the go-kart propelled itself off the ground as if it were a sailboat about to tip over. It only went about an inch off the ground, and only for a split second, but when it hit the ground, the go-kart shot left through the woods heading straight toward the upper garage. If it hit the garage, it would rip a hole right through it! Suddenly the kart propelled onto its side again, only this time going left a little. It jerked left again, more than last time, then shot right more than it had turned left all combined. Finally it straightened out on a direct route for the “Little Lady” wood splitter. Bang! I could hear the engine rev down and it was finally over. Still cold and running, I jumped over a stump and finally reached the go-kart which now had a six inch dent in the front

It was a sunny day and all was well; until we heard a bang sound come from in-front of us. Dad, Mom, Josh (my little brother), and myself all witnessed a red pick-up truck strike a SUV head on; but what we then realized was the red pick-up fleeing the scene. He sped past us going at least sixty mph down a hill through a fifty mph zone. We proceeded down the hill because we were heading home and it just so happened to be the same direction he fled. We saw him swerve around a car, but he did not get lucky trying to avoid the other car zooming around the corner in the other lane; he also hit that car…

The long days and nights riding to Bree started molding into each other so I didn’t have the best idea about how long it has been. I looked up at the stormy night sky dark with clouds filled with rain and thunder that blocked out the light from the stars and the moon. Lightning could be seen in the distance zapping at the ground. I made my horse go faster so we could get to Bree sooner.…

Did that really just happen? “Come join us at soccer tryouts next Friday at the main field after school!” read the big, white flyer which I had picked up previously in the week after hearing about this eye-opening news during morning announcements. I was sitting on the bench outside reading the details as I waited in line for the person whose reaction I was most anxiously waiting to see. As a 5th grader, my first instinct was to alert my mom right away, which is exactly what I did as soon as I got in the passenger seat of the all black sedan.…

I looked up to my left and saw a guard rail with a river behind it, the car was heading towards it. My sister took control of the wheel and steered us the best she could towards the ditch. It was all green everywhere as the rear of the car hit the ditch first and spun us around, sending the front hitting the ditch as well. We spun around one more time, completing two 360’s. It might have been the wrong thought, but I was thinking about the airbags deploying at top speed, knocking us in the face, and injuring…
