Cinderella 's dad asked her stepsisters and Cinderella if they liked anything from the fair Cinderella replied with the choice of a tree branch which is truly humbling and strange of her to ask for a twig and that truly shows how close she is to nature and how she is not superficial and materialistic like her stepsisters. Therefore, her decision of the tree branch was a major turning point for Cinderella and that humble decision opened a lot of possibilities for her life and future. On the contrary, her stepsisters asked for dresses and jewels. All they asked for was nothing but superficial and materialistic objects. I think that the representation of the golden shoes is that it symbolises on Cinderella 's values as a person and how she is worth more than how she is being treated by her evil stepmother and stepsisters. Just what Cinderella 's mother told Cinderella be good and pious and good things will come from it and it came to be true. In addition, these same golden shoes carried Cinderella to her future prince and the same shoes guided the prince back to her after the festival. Furthermore Cinderella 's golden shoe no other women could be available to fit into the slippers, but the only women that could was Cinderella. This had a meaning that no other women were as valuable as Cinderella. Even though Cinderella started a hard life with Her stepmother and stepsisters with wooden shoes she finished with golden shoes that means that hard work pays off at the end of the day.
