In this short story The Scarlet Ibis there are many parts of the story where the setting affects the character's emotion, which can impact the way the piece of reading can be read for the reader. But there are many parts of the setting in the story that affects the character's actions rapides emotions such as when Doodle is being forced to touch his own casket when they are in the shed , which has an impact on the actual setting and emotions of both Doodle and the narrator , settings that continue throughout the writing all the way from Old Woman Swamp to the Flower Garden, but it seems as though the setting just decorates the motives,emotions,and actions of the characters and influence all the way throughout the story. Doodle in the beginning was suppose to die making it seem as though he was frail and weak and his brother (Narrator); but as the story progresses Doodle seemingly gets stronger by the help of his older brother. At first Doodle could not walk since he was crippled , but his Brother saw so much more of him , so he pushed Doodle to the max and in the middle of the writing Doodle could actually walk!…
