Assignment: Fictional Narrative The Christmas Eve Enigma “My bike has been stolen; and on Christmas Eve, for that matter!” Cat cried into her cellphone. “Also, I am presently trapped in Barney’s Christmas Shoppe.” She glimpsed out the grand windows lining the painted walls of the warehouse. The sky was becoming dim as the sun submerged under the skyline. On the other end of the receiver, her siblings, Jordan and Serena Fontecchier exchanged apprehensive glances. “Are you sure about that?” Serena inquired worriedly. “Yes, I am positive,” Cat replied despondently. “When I realized that I left my bicycle in the shop, I returned furtively, just to retrieve it! However, when I shut the window it jammed

“It is nothing to worry about. As I said before-” “You are not being kind. God says that we must treat others the way that we would want to be treated,” He pointed out. They disputed for quite some time until suddenly, the small car sputtered, coughed and began to decelerate. Jordan pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road. “What happened?” They both departed from the car cautiously, and Serena, who had tons of experience in engineering, peered into the car engine. “Our car just broke down,” She observed, frowning. The sky was a deep purple and silvery winter clouds drooped in the atmosphere somnolently, intensely contrasting against the dark backdrop. Serena remorsefully observed her brother and sighed in defeat. “I am so sorry. I should have treated Mr. Butera respectfully and listened to what he had forewarned us about. I was so focused upon his egotistical behavior that I was blind to my own conceitedness.” “I am thankful that you have come to terms with your own pride.” “I realize now that I have been wrong about several affairs. It is the very reason that we quarrel so often.” She …show more content…
I am tremendously glad you arrived!” Serena grinned joyfully, then paused. “I am deeply sorry, Mr. Butera. I should have shown you respect and have payed attention to your warning. But I did not, and we are stuck in the middle of nowhere.” “And I am deeply forgiving to you, Miss Fontecchier,” Caleb replied humbly. “And also, overall, I have lied to you. My family does not have any fanatical holiday traditions; my brother and I were about to abet our sister out of Barney’s Christmas Shoppe. You see, she accidently locked herself in there while searching for her missing bike-” “A misplaced bicycle? My associates have found a missing bike, and it is in my limo at the moment!” He unlatched the trunk of the elegant vehicle, revealing a lovely pink bike decorated with eccentric ornaments. “That is Cat’s bike! It has not been stolen, simply misplaced!” Serena, ecstatic and relieved, threw her arms around Caleb, “Thank you so much.” All of a sudden, her cellphone rang. “It is Cat,” Serena remarked, reading the caller ID. Then, she answered the phone. “Hello?” “Hi, guys,” Cat insipidly replied. “Where are you and Jordan?” “I apologize, Cat, but our car just broke down.” Serena said. “You are able to repair it, right?” Her younger sister questioned, “I do not want to remain in this warehouse all night long; it is pretty
