In Christianity once the bride is handed over to the groom he is supposed to take care of his wife financially, as well as other aspects. When the Muslim women get married they are paid money by the groom as a gift and can spend it however they want. In marriage once you marry someone, you both become one and financially money should not be completely shared but be an equal asset between the two. For some, it might sound the same as spending money on a ring and giving it to each other, but the bride also provides the husband with a ring in Christianity, and the ring is to symbolize a never ending
