To be a successful dancer, one should obtain balance, physical strength, and physical dexterity to allow them to move without falling over or losing their rhythm. Artistic ability and creativity are needed for dancers to express their ideas and emotions throughout their movement. Choreographers also should have creative ideas and artistic abilities to create interesting and eye-catching dance routines. Choreographers and Dancers may be able to find a job or job opportunities by searching around in their communities. The choreographers must be able to find dancers to perform the routines the choreographer has created. Dancers usually commit to years of intense practice, starting around the ages 2-3 and continue dancing for the rest of their lives. The dancers should be able to look at rejection as a positive asset and continue to practice for future spots and auditions. Most dancers are often active for long periods of time, so they must be able to practice for multiple hours without getting tired. Some dancers may add responsibilities to their plate, such as becoming a dance captain in musical theater, or becoming the choreograoher, by leading practices, or by working with dancers who are less experienced in the absence of the choreographer.
