The Chivas Regal whiskey ad uses limited colors in their ad. At first glance the viewer sees mostly white, which means purity and honesty, over a bed which could represent the purity of marriage. Upon closer look there is black mixed into the white covering the bed. This is contradicting the white because black represents evil, violence and death. This could make the viewer believe that because of alcohol even the purity of marriage can be tainted. The next color in the ad is a dark orange with black mixed within surrounding a whiskey bottle that is equally as dark. The dark orange in the ad can give the reader a sense of excitement and joy, giving them the thought that if they drink this whiskey than they will have a very memorable and exciting night.
