The Bulls only received in return a pitiful horde. The Chicago Bulls traded Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks over the summer, which was definitely in the Knicks favor due to the fact that Rose was a former MVP of the league. The official trade was Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday and a 2017 first round draft pick from the Bulls for Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon, and Jerian Grant. Calderone and Grant will not be starters and get few minutes of playing time, but Lopez is a starting big man. Of course some say that it was a good trade because Rose had unsteady health issues with his legs, but on the contrary, Rose had a decent season after missing most of last season and simply needs a bit more time to adjust. Granted some will say the trade had more depth and was a dramatic issue rather than a basketball issue.
