Writing Abstract

The beauty of how I write is abstract. Abstract is what I define as a style that does not have a constant or regular look while it varies. Writing and literature is an art within itself. We’re taught the letters of the alphabet, consonants, and vowels which is the beginning and basic art of literature. I truthfully state that our signature tells others about the characteristics we portray. Anytime I’ve had to write my signature from my young ages to signing my life away in college contracts, the format was always unique. It depended on if I was rushing or just simply wanted to do a pretty signature but, overall my mood at the moment.

Progressively being taught how to efficiently write has had an forceful impact to make me into a better somebody.

Writing has given a definite impact towards life when broadening my vocabulary, upgrading the mind set, and advancing skills that brings results and conquered goals. This letter is being written to you, to let you know my thoughts about how much this class has enabled me to grow as a writer and student. As a writer I have many new acquired strengths. One of these newly acquired strengths is that I have the ability to write an essay that assess other author’s pieces of work. Before this class, I wrote very generic five paragraph essays that let the reader know, that the author of a certain piece of work was a good writer and captivated the audience. Now I am able to state the authors’ purpose and the rhetoric terms that he or she uses to get their purpose across to their audiences.…

The beautifully wise words of an American painter, Robert Motherwell, could not have described abstract art any better I strongly believe. He intricately and sophisticatedly describes the breath-taking style of abstract art as follows, “The function of abstraction is to get rid of a lot of reality. You start with as much richness as you want, and subtract, and then you arrive at the residue of essences that you’re interested in.” This description really allows the reader to visualize the artist at the canvas, slapping the paint on and then every so carefully stripping away the perfect amount to acquire the goal and portray the image in their brains. I love the amount of visualization Motherwell allows, and encourages the viewer to experience.…

Have You Developed a System of Writing That Works Most of The Time I really have not looked up different styles of writing let alone realized there was so many different types of it. My method is not necessarily a method per se, I have always for the longest time just wrote down as if I was speaking to someone. That to me was where my biggest praise came from, that I was able to write with such voice and was able to emulate my presence through the pages. When writing for an essay there is a period where I read and reread the question to gather all the information that is needed. Once the question is fully understood, I try to explain myself in full detail.…

How I've improved as a writer Over the term and through this course I have improved certainly improved as a writer. One of the most helpful assignments we did was the revision of paper one which allowed me to see my mistakes, fix them and see first hand how these little changes can make a big difference on your end mark. Specifically, on the first assignment, most of the mistakes I had made were simple grammatical errors including forgetting to properly capitalize the first letter after a period as well I had not used proper punctuation. Prior to taking this course, I did not what a comma splice was but after receiving I found that I had made this mistake multiple times and tried not to do it in future assignments. I put into effect all…

Last week, as I was strolling past a middle school, I saw a teacher sitting down next to a student. The teacher was giving advice to the student. The image of the teacher helping the student reminded me of when my English teacher would help me with my assignments. I enrolled in Advanced Placement English Language and Composition in my junior year at Grant High School. AP English was rumored to be a very tenacious class and the teacher, Ms. Warfield, was known for giving perplexing reading articles for homework.…
