My identity is multidimensional because there are many factors such as the descriptors above that make up and that had an influence on make me the person I am today. There are many ways to refer to privilege. Some examples include: legal privilege, where the law or a set of rules gives the privilege to the individual such as driving a car. For this type of privilege, a person has to earn to it by following the rules that goes with that privilege and if the rules are not followed or manipulated in some way it can be taken away. Another type of privilege is a social privilege. And in the case of this article and the topic the context is mostly based on social privilege. A social privilege is something that refers to having a special advantage that has to do with a person’s standing in society and can also be seen as something negative. The reason for this is because most of the time it has to do with a dominate group of people who have these “special advantages” and most of the time have things available to them exclusively and either looking down or not acknowledging those who are different from them, which them becomes an issue of inequality and sets a negative impression between both dominate and subordinate groups.
