A good life is defined by several characteristics that I believe in. Most importantly the aspect to having a good life is fundamentally being and believing in who you are as an individual, and being comfortable in your own skin. While this seems like such an easy task,it can be one of the most difficult things for anyone to manage. Mounting stress and pressure on an individual may compel them to feel a need to change who they are or conform to fit another person’s standard or idea of what is admired or accepted. As long as a person is playing within the rules and regulations of our society and abiding by all laws, then there is nothing wrong with being yourself and enjoying the simple pleasures while working hard to obtain your goals and ambitions. …show more content…
Good physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health can contribute to feeling great and having a wonderful outlook on life. People routinely take these aspects of health for granted. For example social health is important, having a group of friends to talk with and support each other makes for a strong foundation. Since moving out here in 2013 and not knowing a lot of people my wife and I have found it increasingly difficult to engage in a healthy social life, plus with having a toddler and keeping busy with our class work has proven to be quite the hurdle in juggling a social life. I’ve learned in my short life so far the most job of value any person can have is being a parent, and providing for and teaching your child or children how to be self-sufficient, decent, forward thinking, and open minded people who one day will be successful in their own right. Being a relatively young parent most times I feel that I am constantly learning, and figuring out what it takes to become successful myself, so I definitely want to gain as much knowledge and wisdom as I can to pass on to my daughter. I see the love and admiration she has for myself and her mother, and I don’t want to let her down. While this weighs heavily on me, it gives me motivation and drive to do everything in my power to provide a great life for her, so she has everything she needs to be successful when she becomes an adult. “Integrity is an essential part of true educational experience..” (Bill Taylor), you may be wondering how this correlates to a good life and my daughter. The answer is simple really, her mother and I are her first educators before she begins formal education. Guiding our daughter to live a life of sincerity will propel her through many challenges she may face in the years to come.
