David Rudisha In My Life

I chose David Rudisha because I love athletics and it is a huge part of my life and has been throughout my life. My favourite and best event is the 800m run. David Rudisha is an inspiration to me because he is the fastest runner in the world over 800 meters. He is also the only one to ever get a time of less than 1:41 over 800m. Watching him run and compete so well at such a high level in a sport I love and running the event, I love inspires me, he is the person I’d love to be, and I’ll motivate myself using his achievements and accomplishments and push to be like him and strive for the same goals as he strove to complete so that I can be the best runner I can possibly be. I don’t have much of a relationship with him other than him being a running idol for me, I’ve never met him and don’t know his personality apart from what characteristics he displays through his everyday actions and whatever the media shows of him. …show more content…
He has had a heap of injuries throughout his career, as many athletes do, he even had an injury that made him miss a massive world competition (2013 IAAF World championships) yet he kept training and pushing towards the 2016 Olympics which inspires me. His motivational and principle is incredible and is probably one of the reasons he’s become so successful in his running. Some other characteristics he displays are a strong dislike against cheating and those who cheat which is very admirable in the sporting
