Which means someone who over uses alcohol and usually becomes a drunk eventually from too much alcohol. Alcoholism is inherited especially if we are around a bunch of alcoholics. Alcoholism can only effect you if you are in the same area or house of the person that is an alcoholic to begin with. Like if you are not around the person that is an alcoholic then you might not inherit the trait but it can indeed be inherited. Unfortunately, not being around an alcoholic is not always an option some of our parents are alcoholics and we have no choice to but to live with them and end up becoming alcoholics ourselves due to many emotional factors, but we can also hang around people who don’t do those things to help us wing away from it and not become our parents. Brothers and sisters and spouses of people that are alcoholics need to especially be careful because they have a higher chance of becoming alcoholics or having alcoholism. A lot of people with no family history of alcohol are alcoholics they just became so because of the wrong environments that involve social drinking. So once again I say that environments can be stronger than hereditary traits if someone that never was around an alcoholic a day in their life can still become one because of the wrong
