Fluttering, bits and pieces of Ester’s vision came back into her. Walls of white, the sound of constant beeping, the female looked about her surroundings. Was it a hospital room? Why was she there? Reaching a single arm up to rub across her eyes, her blurry vision slowly lined up normally. Then, she noticed the horrifying sight. Her father - her father was asleep in the corner. Ester wanted to scream. Why was he there? Where was Edward? Ester began to panic, which caused her the beeping to accelerate the bothersome noise. Within a short moment, a doctor in a white robe entered the room to verify that Ester was still okay. To his surprise, she was alive.

Why had this happened? Did she even want to continue, and recover; if she’d just be stuck with her father for the rest of her life? She was broken, inside and out. Her innocence had been stolen, and now her ability to feel, and walk could possibly be stolen as well. Was she that much of a sinner in her past life? Life to Ester had ended at that point. She couldn’t even forge an individual thought of positivity in her future.
Days for Ester passed without a single glimpse of color. Existence was black and white, she seen no reason for anything anymore. She refused to eat, protested her medication, and rejected IV after IV within her veins; Ester wanted to slowly let her body die. Ester contemplated stealing medications from numerous doctors, and taking a deadly amount, enough to stop her heart; and she did. Every few hours, when doctors arrived to administer the girl’s pain medication, she collected such pills; until she had a collection of a variety of medications. A handful of pills, Ester was sure this would be enough.
Pulling out her IV, and tearing away the wires for different monitors, Ester popped a mouthful of pills - about three, to be exact. Now, the only thing left to do was
