He once was weak and incapable of confidently following his aspirations. He saw he his potential to be an innovator as a sin instead of as extraordinary. He continues to follow instead of leading until he triumphantly discovered the light which will make his hunger for knowledge increase. When him and his invention is dismissed by the World Council of Scholars he doesn’t drown in sadness, but rises up and is determined to prosper. Equality is too powerful as an individual and mentally strong to discontinue his journey. In the “Soul of an Individualist”, Rand writes of a man being “self-sufficient,” “self-motivated,” and “self-generated” (“Soul of an Individualist” 2). A true individual contains such qualities, where they do not need others to thrive off and contain their own objectives. Equality strives for greatness, doesn’t deteriorate when encountering hostility, and is tremendously courageous. Equality is not mediocre and refuses to rejoin the collective society he once participated in. He constantly came up against doubt and rejection from the community his entire life and uses their negativity to drive him towards a new future. He dismisses the idea of halting his growth as an individual and as a mastermind and is certain for his future success. He succeeds in positively following his purpose and not letting others defer his objectives. His initiative is to achieve extraordinary things and unmask the secrets that society hides. His once acceptance of the society he lived in is no longer there and his tolerance is also gone. Equality’s intent is to create a new community where people aren’t trapped and free. Equality also wants to create new technology to make life more advanced ending the period of ignorance. His goal is at utmost importance to him and worthy of fightighting for.
