The Scarlet Ibis is about a boys brother, Doodle, is cripple. Doodle’s brother pushed him to walk. He pushed him so hard the Doodle died. Is it Doodle’s brother’s fault for him dying? Doodle’s brother was embarrassed to have a cripple brother. He should be held responsible for Doodle’s death. I know it must have been hard to have a brother like that, but he shouldn’t have pushed Doodle so hard to walk. Doodle’s brother was pushing him to walk and get stronger for himself. He wanted to make him like every other boy before school started. He was afraid he would get made fun of for having a cripple brother. It was good that he was helping him to walk, but maybe not for himself. Doodle should have been treated with more respect.
