The Character Analysis Of Ponyboy And Johnny Outsiders

The characters are Ponyboy Curtis, Sodapop Curtis, Two-Bit Mathews, Steve Randle, Dallas Winston, Johnny Cade, Sandy, Cherry Valance, Marcia, Randy Adderson, Bob Sheldon, Paul Holden, Jerry Wood, Tim Shepard, Curly Shepard, and Mr. Syme. Ponyboy is the main character, he speaks in first person. He is in a gang (greasers) but more of a family. This take place in Oklahoma but unsure about the year. But by guessing, somewhere around 1990 or 1980. Also in a lower class area. Ponyboy used to have parents but they died in a fatal car crash. Everyone was fine, maybe some fighting here and there but not bad. In till when Ponyboy and Johnny were on their way to Two-bits house when the other gang (Socs) an in to them in the park. When they came back, they saw the church building n fire with some kids on a field trip, the teacher counted and saw she was short of 3 students. As soon Ponyboy and Johnny read about this, they went in and try get the three kids, they found the kids and try to help them get out of the burning building. A wooden beam broke and fell on to Johnny. Ponyboy passed out from all the smoke. EMTs arrived at the building and put out the fire. They got both Ponyboy and Johnny from the building. Ponyboy looks like he can recover but Johnny looks way worse with 3rd degree burns and a few bones broken. They got in to the hospital and the doctors try to heal them. Ponyboy was a success, and as for Johnny, they were thinking that he won’t make it but still have a Chace. There gang went to the hospital and see how they were doing. Ponyboy recovered and was able to walk and he went to Johnny room and talk to him. All but Johnny went home (Two-bit house) and see if they might help Johnny. The whole gang was mad and went to fight the Socs face to face. They agree to fight at a nearby field. They both gang arrived, they talked trash for a sec and then when Two-bit spit on to the leader face and that’s when everything happened. It went pretty good in till they cheated and used weapons, like bats, rocks, etc. The greasers lose and all of them was really hurt. They went back home and try to heal. As …show more content…
He raised his gun at the police and they fired at him. He died. Ponyboy passed out from this and woke up in Two-bit’s house. He felt a pain in his head from the fall and past a few days later, he wrote a book about his life, about all of the crazy things he went through. And as you might know he named it “The outsiders”. What feeling about this story is manly, sad or moody because of all the deaths and the things that’s been going on? Ponyboy witness a lot of deaths and saw people in pain even with his family members dying. And with his friends dying or being in a fight with other people just puts him in some big mess. And then with the church on fire and then Johnny died and then Dally died. He could have killed himself from all of the deaths and pain in his
