Martin Luther King Jr., born on January 15th of 1929, played a huge huge roll in U.S. history. Today, his story of resistance continues to be told in thousands of schools around the country. Known as “The father of the Civil Rights movement,” giving over 300 speeches and receiving hundreds of awards in his lifetime, he made a great mark on this world. Unlike most others in the 1960s . King believed in peace, justice, and equality. If we had A man like King in today's society, would it have the same effects of kings methods? Dr. King was awarded many honored degrees from many different colleges and universities in the United States and several foreign countries. During the Civil Rights Movement, he was arrested thirty times for his participation
