”Didn’t you hear what Miep said? The invasion has come! We’re going to be liberated! This is a time to celebrate!”(Hackett, 180). All of the Jews get very happy because of the other troops liberating camps and homes. This event caused the Franks, Van Daans, and Mr. Dussel to confess all of their bad actions. “Please, I’m so ashamed...We’ve all done things that we’re ashamed of.”(Hackett, 180-181).This clearly shows that the mood of the characters change between each and everyone one of them. This is because when they found out they were getting liberated they all felt bad for the wrong things they had done. With living together for over two years they figured it was time to get along right after they were fighting. Many historical events had changed the mood of characters but had also greatly impacted the action between the characters and the action of the characters

She finds it difficult to understand why the Jews are being singled out and persecuted. Anne also confronts her own identity. Though she considers herself to be German, her German citizenship has been revoked, and though she calls Holland her home, many of the Dutch have turned against the Jews. Anne feels a tremendous solidarity with her aggrieved people, and yet at the same time she wants to be seen as an individual rather than a member of a persecuted group. Since Anne’s diary is a true personal account of a life in hiding, it is inappropriate to analyze it as a novel or other work of fiction.…

WWII was one of the most horrendous wars in history, but the ‘cherry-on-top’ of this devastating period was the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a genocide (mass murder) of around 6 million European Jews. There are still many different opinions about the Holocaust, some are in the past as shown in “Poisonous Mushrooms” by Julius Streicher, others happened a short time ago like “Students Visit to a Concentration Camp Makes Some People Mad” by McClatchy Tribune, and “WWII Heroine Irena Sendler” by unknown. All three have different purposes and meanings.…

The Holocaust was an attempted genocide of the Jewish people. The Nazi regime and its collaborators successfully murdered six million Jewish individuals. During the Holocaust the murder of the Jewish race was systematic and refined so much so that the Nazi regime had evoked a fear in the eyes of the world even though the world did not know the full extent of what was happening in the concentration camps. In many ways the full truth of what happened inside of concentration camps during the holocaust is still somewhat of a mystery to many people. “There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires” -Nelson Mandela.
