Determining if our relationships are successful or unsuccessful depends on what an individual thinks a relationship needs to succeed and how to achieve that. My best friend and I met at Sunday school and have gone through good and bad times together. The relationship has worked because not only have we been open and honest with each other, but we have a great deal of respect for one another and we do not judge each other. We tell each other everything and at one time or another life problems have paralleled and we discuss what we have done to overcome and we work together to find a solution. My relationship with my husband is successful, because of the love and trust we have for each other. We started out as friends and it progressed to love. He was and is someone I can talk to at all hours of the night. We have different interests and have no problem with pursuing the interests separately. He has been my biggest supporter in everything I try to accomplish, especially the past three years that I have been attending college. The open communication we have with each other is stronger today than it ever has been. We don’t always like what each other has to say but we respect each other enough that we can be honest. When we are wrong or we may hurt each other we can apologize which makes our relationship stronger.

Conclusion
Reflecting on all my relationships over the years, I have turned negative unsuccessful relationships into positive relationships in my personal life. Open and honest communication is important any type
