Moreover, pain can also shape citizens beneficially or negatively. Griffin asserts that Heinrich as “a man who made history” shaped myriad childhoods including her childhood. (386) When one reads or learns about a citizen who has undergone a unique experience, citizens want to imitate them since those citizens flatter those individuals. I believe Griffin read Heinrich’s biography and enjoyed it, thus, she became inspired by him and followed some of his beneficial sides of his path but in her unique way.
