Civic Education In Haiti

Haiti, my country, is going through many challenges. In addition to being the poorest country in the American Continent, it faces alarming economic and political crisis, and a low level of education (...) worsens the situation. Only 1% of those who finish high school can go to university, and less than 50% of them finish university (Dare2Impact, 2015). It's revolting! In a country of about 11 million people, more than 50% are young, they can no longer be seen as the future. They are also the present of Haiti. Education is, therefore, a priority; a basic education, and civic especially, to teach them pride, patriotism, and national belonging. With these values, they will develop commitment and motivation to change their community and make it prosper, to be interested in their education, as well as that of the youngest, to use their skills in the country. And why not be good leaders, trained and filled of the patriotic sense to overcome the political crisis!
