Syrian Refugees that are arriving in Canada face many challenges during the resettlement process. These refugees struggle with sanitary living conditions, shelter, food, education, em-ployment and health care. The number of refugees arriving at the same time takes a toll on the planning process which in return makes it difficult and overwhelming in finding suitable shelter for these individuals. Developing a proper resettlement plan is a major key in succeeding in this country. There are a number of recommendations that should be taken into consideration when preparing a resettlement plan for these refugees. Canadian families can also sponsor refugee families by assisting them for the first twelve months of their initial arrival. This support includes assisting the family in dealing with the shock of coming to an entirely new place and starting a new life (Lifeline Syria). A refugee family of four requires a minimum of about $20,000 support for a year and start up costs of $7000, these start up costs are used to help them buy household items and cloth-ing (Lifeline Syria). Life Line Syria is an organization, which has been created in order to assist the Syrian Refugee resettlement in Toronto. Through them, individuals, families and groups can sponsor and support families in need. Due to this support Syrian families can gain valuable life skills and opportunities in order to thrive in the Canadian culture. As long as we as a country as-sist those in need, we will be making a difference in the world for the better and giving Syrian refugees a place to live and grow can be a very rewarding
