This chapter talks about how Jesus wanted to end the in place kingdom model, and wanted to bring God's kingdom model into actuality. Jesus wanted to turn the kingdom over from the Pharisees' to the people of God. Wright states that Jesus didn't want to turn away from Judaism but rather unite the people under the one true God. Jesus called on his followers to repent from their old ways and follow this new way of thinking through Jesus Christ. Wright explains that in order to learn the relationship between them, one must understand how the Jewish people saw God. The Jewish people believe that God is divine, that he was revealed to people through his spirit and his teachings. His spirit was with Moses and that God would return to Zion one day and would rule with someone by his side. The Jews believe that YHWH, or "The One Who Is" (Wright, 101), could raise people from the dead. So when Jesus was resurrected from the dead, people believed that Jesus was the incarnation of YHWH. They believed that he was God on earth because of the interaction God had with David.
