In the 1980’s the Center of Disease Prevention and Control had identified 5 young gay males in California with a rare case of lung infection called Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia or (PCP). They all had a weak immune system. The very next day the San Franascio Chronicle shared the same story, not long after the story was published the CDC was flooded with people who shared the same symptoms as the 5 young men. They also showed signs of having an aggressive cancer called Kaposi’s Carmona. They were later diagnosed with AIDS.
Human immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) destroy your white blood cells ( T-helper cells) and make copies of itself inside them, and acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is the very last stage of HIV. This is where the infection can no longer defend itself from the virus. These viruses can be transmitted or contracted through vaginal fluid, semen, and/or blood. Right now there is currently a cure for HIV/AIDS. People can still live a healthy life with right treatment and support.
The most common way to diagnoses HIV is by testing either your blood or salvia for the antibodies of the virus. He earlier you go get tested the better you can prevent transmission to their partners.
