It’s a very touchy subject to talk about considering the stories it has left in its wake. Many teens have committed suicide, caused pain to themselves, or have even done something they never wanted to do because of bullies. Bullying has become a part of America’s society and social system ever since the country’s founding. It can closely be related to the phrase “survival of the fittest”, as bullies, the so called “strongest”, must prey on those who they think are the weak in order to survive. Cyber-bullying only expands and makes the problem worse as the bullies take their cruel and hurtful punishment online to the un-weary. Many case studies, law-enforcement, news stories, and research were introduced in order to find and understand the problem with cyber-bullying and traditional bullying. Victims try to find a way out of it, and the easiest in their mind is suicide. They need to understand that this isn’t the way to do things. The problem with bullying is that there aren’t many people that stand up when bullying is taking place. Bystanders witness the bullying and just walk away. That person could be crying out for help emotionally, but no one is willing to help. When you think about it it’s really sad and painful. Bullying continues to be a big problem in schools. Students don’t want to say anything because they are afraid of what the bullies may do to them. Whenever you see someone being bullied, stand up.
