Socialized medicine has been an idea here in the United States since the movement of Obama Care. This begin when the idea that all citizens should have the ability to be seen at any health care facility. Many Americans may even find this idea to be a benefit. Socialized medicine is when the government takes over all health care facility, hires doctors, and pays for care and medicine that is given. Many countries have converted to this style of practice, such as Britain, Spain and Finland. This kind of health care can be beneficial, but it also can do more harm than good. The VA is controlled by the government to treat veterans. The VA has had their fair share of problems in the past years. Veterans wait months before they are seen by a doctor, files have been lost, and malpractice has been reported. This will continue if socialized medicine is practice in the United States. The whole point of socialized medicine is to allow everyone the care they need. Veterans have died waiting to be seen by a doctor this will not change if socialized medicine is practiced. More people will be without care than there are now. If the government takes over this will also result to lower standard as the VA has experienced. The United States is known to have the best medical care. How would the government even know the standards of medicine? Most office members are lawyers not doctors, they would have to hire a doctor or doctors to lead the standards, which would than cost us more money than we are already paying just to be seen. If the government owns all health care faculty how would people sue for malpractice since you cannot sue the government? This idea is to allow everyone the care they need, but how will this be done when tax payers have to wait months to be seen, and medicines to be declined. The life span of Americans will decrease and more people will died due to no health care. Socialized medicine has only been around for a while meaning there is not enough research to determine if this practice will benefit the people. A patients care should never be taken for granted these people are in need to become well again. If we practices socialized medicine more patients could end up dead due to doctor, and supplies
