I believe that what causes racism is the way of thinking that starts at a young age and starts with what their parents believe in. Kids tend to get certain mindset about things because of the things that come out of their parents' mouths. So if a young child has a family that is pretty racist against a certain group of people or culture, that child is more likely to be considered racist themselves based on the ideas present in their household while they were growing up. So say a child had parents what were caucasian descent and that child's parents are racist against African America people and the [parents always talk about how bad that group of people and talks about all the bad stuff that they have done then they are kind of brainwashing
