“Be the change you want to be in the world.” -Gandhi, I think that my one change would be no more hungry and homeless Virginians because it is a good thing to do as a Samaritan, I would accomplish that by peaceful protesting and raising money. If raising money you can have a bake sale, get a grant, and have a car wash.

Subsequently, there should be no one hungry or homeless it's inhumane to leave people hungry and homeless. I would like to change that. There are over 3.5 million and even worse the number is growing. The top causes of homelessness are the loss of loved ones, Divorce costs, and Natural disasters. You can help by donating money or items, Provide food, and even volunteer.

In modern America, there are many issues facing the country like ISIS and the possible threat of North Korea. No issue hits as hard, however, as the problem of homelessness. Meanwhile, all the way back in the thirteenth century, the evolution of agriculture has spawned a new class of medieval peasants, known as serfs; farmers bound to the land of their lords. Many people think that thanks to the multitude of programs to help them, that homeless live somewhat ok lives, the only difference being that they live without a permanent address. However, in comparison to the medieval serf, their lives are filled with unnecessary hardship, unseen by the serfs of the middle ages, thanks to their advantages in the regards of their personal safety, diet,…

The United States has a lengthy history of homelessness that could be dated back to as early as the arrival of European settlers arriving to the New World with very little or nothing at all. Though there have been variations in the characteristics of the homeless population over time and throughout the United States short history, the constant drift of people forced into homelessness suggests there is a structural flaw in our society that ensures the continuation of this problem. Early attempts at identifying the causes of homelessness simply dismissed its reasons as nothing more than a moral failing on the part of the person experiencing it. American authors writing during the late Nineteenth century constructed numerous typologies of "homeless" men, largely differentiating among hoboes, tramps, and vagrants (Bassuk & Franklin, 1992).…

It also isn't surprising to know that Washington is also the state with the least homelessness having less percentage of homeless people than the national average. Next, we should try and help families in poverty pick themselves up by supporting them with financial aid for school. Most families in poverty work minimum wage jobs with children and, they could barely support their children's education or their own home. By aiding families alike in poverty with financial aid, we could possibly lower the amount of homeless around the U.S. and circulate more money too since they could be making more money for the economy. Helping the poor families by paying part of their college tuition would help student's dreams come true and may have an outstanding rippling effect for…

If I could take up a cause I would take the cause of homelessness because I don't like to see people in the streets starving and not having a place to sleep that just makes me sad and just wonder how they handle all that, I also wonder how they do it when it's cold and raining. I would make a difference by helping them out and getting people to help me out, I would put a food stand so they can eat for free without paying or anything, I would also hand out blankets, sweaters, shoes the type of things that would be helpful for them when its cold and raining. I would also try to help some of them by living in a better place. Like every time I see a homeless on the streets and they ask for money I give them enough money for them to go buy something…

In this world that we live in international tensions within the US is at an all-time high due to the United States’ involvement in the Middle East and with Russia in Eastern Europe, I believe that the US is the best chance we have at world peace in this cruel world that we live in, I also believe that the US should strive to end conflict instead of joining other country’s conflicts. The people of the US should help bring this world into an age of peace with our enemies and focus more on helping the population of Americans that are homeless and sick by bringing better healthcare. The average American lives up to 77, with better healthcare this could hopefully boost up to the high 80’s or even if we put all of our focus maybe even the 90’s.…
