Gun violence was a problem that plagued the Obama administration throughout the eight years but was more prominent in the last four years. The first big incident was the Trayvon Martin shooting. Trayvon Martin was shot and killed on February 26, 2012 by a neighborhood watchman named George Zimmerman. I think that the Trayvon Martin shooting was a tragedy and was something that should have never happened. Trayvon did nothing wrong and was just walking home from a gas station and he was unjustifiably shot and killed. Justice was served to Zimmerman but that didn’t heal the pain of the shooting of an unarmed black teenager.
