Since the creation of Christianity the Catholic Church and the mainstream protestant church has always s been at odd in many subjects. Weather it is baptism, the communion, the original sin, resurrection, priesthood, there is always disagreement and frictions between these two relations. On this essay, we are going to explore one of the most divisive issues between the two major Christian faiths in the western world and find out why this is such a rig between them. We will also explore the role of The Virgin Mary in the scripture as well as how she is regarded among these faiths. We will compare and contract the view role the Virgin Mary in the Catholic Church as well as the protestant. We will try to answer some of the questions that lingering in many Christian and also discover why we have two opposing view when it come to this subject.

Who is the Virgin Mary? According to our Christian bible, we first met Mary in the book of Mathew where a young lady engage to be married to a carpenter becomes pregnant by miraculous conception. (Matthew 1:18-25). The fact that God has chosen Mary to bring the Savior to the world places Mary in the position of Deity and therefore deserves to be honored by all who profess to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This, at least, is the belief of most Catholics. If you were to ask any Remain catholic if they actually worship Mary, most would say they do not worship the Virgin Mary.
