I preferred the poem "Annabel Lee" over "The Cask of Amontillado". I preferred "Annabel Lee" because to me it wasn't as dark and sinister as "The Cask of Amontillado" was, I also liked that Poe showed a lot of emotion toward the character "Annabel Lee" while still keeping the poem dark at the same time.

The similarities between “The Cask of Amontillado” and "Annabel Lee"are, they both are in the Dark Romanticism genre and both are written by Edgar Allen Poe. They also talk about death in some way and are gloomy

Th difference's between “The Cask of Amontillado” and "Annabel Lee" is The Cask of Amontillado talks about a man getting revenge on his "friend" so he does"t have to listen/see him ever again, while the poem Annabell Lee talks
