The Cask Of Amontillado Essay

First, I would just like to let it be known that I feel like Poe, "The Cask of Amontillado" should be nominated the best. I must admit that I really do like this short story the best is because it has a horror genre. Horror situations seem to interest me more than any other genre. The main two characters in this short story are Montresor and Fortunato. What knowledge I have gained from this story is that Montresor has had enough of Fortunato's insults and he's really wanting to seek revenge in some sort of evil way. In this story I really noticed how much Fortunato was being tortured by Montresor, and how Fortunato didn't even realize it. This was just all Poe using his imagination to make it a mystery of how he really died it what really caused it him to pass. In many contemporary short stories, a character experiences an epiphany, a moment of illumination in which something hidden or not understood becomes immediately clear. (Kirszner & Mandell, 2012). It became very clear that Poe this story up to express what difficulties in life that he was struggling with vey hard in his life which kept him from being able to remain healthy and stable in life. We all over exaggerate every once in a while when we are trying to explain how we really feel. However, we we are trying to express our feelings its not always the right time nor the place for the explanations ofe our feelings. Honestly, when I'm letting people know how I feel I always express myself at a very random time and place when it's the least expected. Using your imagination can really make it easier for others to realize how I really may feel even though I may be sugar coating about how I really may feel in a given situation, but I still make it known in a way how I really may feel about
