A candidate’s outlook on civil liberties can actively alter an individual’s perspective of them. For instance, Ted Cruz is notorious for being conservative when it comes to civil liberties and it loses voters. Our generation is becoming more accepting, open-minded, and welcoming. When it comes to the LGBT community, the United States is giving it more respect with the recent legalization of gay marriage.
