Growing up we were exposed to different occupations and career choices. Mailman, teacher, astronaut, police officer, and the list goes on. One occupation that stood out the most to me was a doctor. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a doctor and help nurse people back to health. Unfortunately, the path to becoming one of these said occupations was not taught to us. Therefore, I came up my own career path to becoming a doctor after graduating from Florida A&M University. On this said career path, I will graduate summa cum laude, attend a prestigious medical school, complete my residency in Atlanta, Georgia, gain a position on an NFL football team medical staff, and lastly work my way up to head physician. I plan to successfully complete these goals over a fifteen year time period. When I was younger, I remember watching the show General Hospital and thinking, “I want to save lives.” Since then, I’ve made it my mission to reach doctoral status. Being a doctor is all I’ve ever wanted to do and I know it is all I ever will want to do. It isn’t just a career choice for me, it has now become my passion. I want to become a sports doctor because it combines the two things I love the most, sports and medicine. For this career choice, pre-med biology was the best major for me. My junior year, I will be prepared to take the MCAT and to send my scores off to medical schools. After working four hard years at Florida A&M University, I will be ready to graduate. During…
