Pediatricians
Pediatric doctors or pediatricians specialize in the treatment and management of illnesses and ailments of children. More importantly, pediatricians treat child illnesses like pink eye, strep throat, chicken pox and colds. Apart from providing therapeutic interventions, pediatricians also assist healthy children in maintaining their present healthy state. To achieve this, pediatric doctors focus on the administration of immunizations, evaluations of the child`s growth and weight gain and offering guidance services for mental, emotional and social health (Johnson 24).

As required by law, upon successful completion of the medical program, the new qualifiers obtain their work permits from licensing boards. Prior to certification, proof of completion of education and training are usually crucial requirements (Szilagyi 220).
