Specific and general duties. The specific duties for Neonatal Nurses is that they are responsible for emailing the Neonatologist or calling parents for specific request. Neonatal Nurses are assigned to care for children that are sick. Neonatal Nurses spend a large portion of their shift and message out for those who need them. The general duties for Neonatal Nurse is they go into the delivery room to help the doctor deliver the patient’s baby. They love and enjoy seeing families bonding. There is 1 type levels they work in and it more advance. In level III, they care for prematurely, illness, and defects. Level III is more advanced degree nurse that care for high risk babies.Neonatal Nurse perform life sustain care. As a Neonatal Nurse, they monitoring vital signs and provided vital nutrients. They also do therapies and special feeding for babies. As a Neonatal Nurse we must ensure the breathing and make sure the lungs is maturing properly. Neonatal Nurses work 10-12 hours shift. What I would gain from Neonatal Nursing is to learn and make anything possible if I just put my mind into it and be able to believe that something good will come my way and be able to look at the brighter side of the situation.
