For example at my organization veteran managers work during the day, leaving new managers to work alone at night. Some companies train you to then set your free to learn the company hands on. At various retail organizations such as car rental companies, there are some which are the only company in the airport who will require their closing employees to stay until the last flight, which can be until five a.m. Not only do the associates not get paid shift differential, managers have to stay to manage the employees and any issue that can happen when the late flights arrive. This means a manager can work sixty plus hours a week, especially during the winter hours on a forty hour salary making less than the rental sales associates that they oversee. This is an unhealthy lifestyle someone could work through. Rental sales associates can average between sixty and one hundred and twenty thousand a year but work part time hours because they are only needed when business is heavy and consistent to require their help. A manager on the other hand, right out of college can start out at twenty nine thousand a year, yet work hours that are over their allotted annual salary is based off of. A job will always have low entry pay to give you an opportunity on the job you are seeking but you will pay the price because the pay will not come close to the amount of work you will have to do at the low entry rate. You are required to start from the bottom if you have no experience and it 's simply not fair if the company did not do this compared to people with experience.
