Almost every person has standard family traditions and things people do every year. In other words, another ongoing tradition my Aunt Sara and I do every year is decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. On November 23rd, we have a family gathering and have a meal together that night or the next day bright and early we blast the Christmas music and decorate for the holiday season. We decorate the tree with family heirlooms, homemade ornaments, lights, Christmas pickle, and the star to top it off. This has been a tradition for as long as I can remember. With this family tradition, it represents one way we can all come together as one. My family is considered the support system I need when overcoming difficult situations and hardships in my life. Ever since certain events happened in my life the reliance of family connections has meant the world to me in more ways than one. Therefore, we still carry on our traditions because it means that much to us and makes us remember that we are all one and support each other through everything.
