The Cardiovascular system also known as the Circulatory System is an organ system that transports oxygen, nutrients, hormones and cellular waste products and permits blood to circulate and form cells in the body to nourish it with every heartbeat throughout the body.However, the Cardiovascular system is composed of the following organs, heart and blood vessels, including arteries, veins, and capillaries. One of the major structures of this system is the heart which functions to propel blood throughout the body, supplying oxygen and nutrients to the tissues.
